Beautiful light body wine with cocoa, cherry, and light acidity. Tasting very nice right now....Went fantastic with the chili that we had it with. Probably would also be good with some Mexican foods also. This is what good Pinot can develop into in Ohio in good years. If you are fortunate to have some in your cellar, give it a try.

This is such an expressive cab franc. Light color. Aromas of cherry, red raspberry, earth and herbs. The palate matches adding strawberry and red licorice. Light-medium acid, light tannins, light oak influence and low alcohol match and balance the light-bodied flavor; medium-length finish. Very elegant, reminds me a bit of a nice Burgundy pinot and no pyrizines that are often associated with CF. The longer I focus on this wine the more I like it. Definitely drinking well now but I very much look forward to where it goes with age.

Last evening we enjoyed a bottle of 2006 Pinot Noir Umpqua with our dinner. The wine has aged very well. It starts with a little bit of sharpness as it enters the mouth, but the mid palate to finish are a nice soft cherry. We paired the wine with salmon and roasted root vegetables.                 Karen ...........      2/4/2017
